There are plenty of horses I want to bet against this afternoon. Here we select a couple at low enough prices to "lay" on Betfair:

There are a couple of decent opportunities to "lay" horses on UK racecourses today. These are the ones I want to take on:
1.30 Doncaster
Trainer Tim Easter is in dreadful form and the last 31 horses he has sent out have returned home without a visit to the winner's enclosure. Yet in the first race at Donny he is sending out perennial runner-up CHOISAN, which is relatively short in the market at 5.4 to back and 5.5 to lay. I could not back this horse with any confidence given its tendency to be one-paced at the end of its races and believe that at least one will finish in front of it. Lay for the win.

Horses to bet against at Kempton this evening:
8.20 Kempton
MAGIC MINSTREL was a close second over C&D last time and looks ready to mount a bold bid to register his first victory here. However, he has been very weak on Betfair all day and I think it is worth taking him on as there are other horses in this that can give him a race. Trainer Andrew Balding is not in great form either, with just two wins in the last 27 attempts.
BR Betting Advice:
£50 lay Magic Minstrel in the 8.20 Kempton at 4.0 on Betfair (Win Market)

These are the horses to lay today:
2.50 Yarmouth
Although there has been some market support for ALJAMAAHEER I will be laying it in the Win Market on Betfair.

It is Champion's Day at Ascot where £3m in prize money is to be won. But that will be small beer for the owner of Frankel, who will have a horse valued at £100 million should his horse bolt up in the QEII Stakes (3.35pm BST). As he is by some distance the best miler in the world right now, and is currently priced at 1.4 on Betfair, one imagines he will win today's race easily, not to mention a cool £567,000.
